The Remembering Yesterday, Caring Today project set up the apprenticeship scheme and has had many participants where they help the organisers set up the meetings with dementia patients and their carers. In each session the apprentice creates a warm environment for both the person withe dementia and their carer while focusing on a theme, they prepare activities and discussions around that topic to engage everyone. They also create a space where the carer can talk about what they are going through with like-minded people.

To see what the scheme included for the apprentices from this year there is a link below, as well as essays from a few of last years apprentices.
