End Of The War

On the 8th May 1945, the surrender of German forces brought about jubilant celebrations all over Europe.  No bigger celebrations were seen than those of London, with neighbours throwing street parties and thousands heading down the mall to view the Royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.  End of the War was created using existing reminisces within the Reminiscence Theatre Archive and explored the memories of locals on VE day itself and in the years after. The film clip above is from a performance at Bill Waldren SHU, and the photos below are of a performance at The Old Baths, Woolwich.
