Student Placement Report

Charlotte Price-Stevens records her experience of participating in this intergenerational drama project

Charlotte Price-Stevens undertook the role of Project Coordinator as a work placement during her studies at the University of Greenwich. This role enabled her to work closely with intergenerational actors, ranging from university Drama students to older people from the Greenwich Pensioners Forum, in addition to Pam Schweitzer and Heather Lilley. She was able to direct performances, working with current students on the Applied Drama course and using materials from the archive to inspire them as she helped them in the creation of their pieces. She was also able to assist in the organisation of events and workshops. A stand out moment for her during her placement was her part in the event: ‘A Reminiscence Theatre and Oral History Day’. She assisted in the running of the day and directed and co-directed two of the pieces performed.
