The first Christmas memories project of Age Exchange was conducted in 1983. It involved the company in meeting local Greenwich pensioners in sheltered housing units, pensioners’ clubs and adult education classes and interviewing them about their childhood memories of Christmas time in the 1920s and 30s. The stories they told us went into this book of edited memories and photographs.
