BBC Documentary

This is a BBC Primetime special focusing on the Age Exchange evacuation project. It shows the involvement of older volunteers in the making of the Theatre-in-Education project and the project in action with children from local primary schools, professional actors and older people. This was a whole day TIE project devised by Pam Schweitzer and Andy Andrews. It had an accompanying 3-dimensional exhibition in which the action took place. The TIE project was followed up in the classrooms of the participating schools and gave rise to much creative writing, history and drama work. It ran for 5 weeks in 1989 and was repeated in 1995 and 1999.
