From Transcript to Theatre

Here we would like to show the stages that each production goes through to find those authentic and powerful moments that are translated from memory to the stage.

The example we would like to share are the incredible memories of Doris Bliss. As you will see some of her memories are verbatim whereas in other cases it has been transformed into something that would fit the stage.

We have included on this page, the original audio recording with Doris Bliss who was interviewed by Pam Schweitzer and Clare Summerskill in 2002, the transcript and the extracts from the script, Memory Lane. If you wish to spot these extracts in the play you can see the full production along with the complete script, here.
