RYCT Apprenticeships

The ‘Remembering Yesterday, Caring Today’ apprenticeship scheme has had many participants who have helped the organisers set up the meetings with dementia patients and their carers. In each session the apprentice creates a warm environment for both the person with dementia and their carer while focusing on a theme, having prepared activities and discussions around that topic to engage everyone. The session creates a space where the carer can talk about what they are going through with like-minded people.
